Saryn Hooks placed 3rd in the 2006 Scripp’s National Spelling Bee held May 31st and June 1st. Saryn is 14, an eighth grader and can spell approximately 480,000 words. Quite an accomplishment!! What is absolutely amazing is the fact that we contacted Saryn for an interview without any idea that her grandparents live right here in South Georgia, Cobbtown to be exact. Small, small world!
