Dr. Olson discusses a recent survey of Emergency Rooms and the quality of care in the U. S. and particularly the "C" grade received by Georgia Emergency Rooms. Georgia did fairly well in the quality of care, but failed rather miserably in access to care. The low score in "access to care" is due in large part to the inadequate funding of Medicaid, health care for the poor.
